LightSpeed end of year update

LightSpeed celebrates a dynamic 2019 with enhanced remote work, new team members, and key long-term contributors. They maintain WooExpert and Mailchimp statuses, announcing holiday office closures.

2019 has been a very exciting and fast-paced year for the LightSpeed team. We continued to fine-tune our remote-working communication techniques; allowing our team to work from anywhere in the world. We welcomed our second Venezuelen developer, José, to the team. In May, we flew Virginia and José to Cape Town to join us for our annual team retreat, for which we returned to the stunning Misty Cliffs area.

As we look ahead to the start of a new decade, we would like to make special mention of the following LightSpeed team members who have stuck with us through thick and thin over the last 10 years.

Warwick Booth, our senior developer joined us in December 2006. Chris Vancoillie, our systems and network architect has been with us since September 2009 and Iggi Vermaak has been LightSpeeding since March 2011. Warwick, Chris and Iggi – thank you for your incredible endurance, dedication and hard work, and of course, all the fun times. We would not be here today without you.

We worked on a wide range of interesting and challenging projects this year. We are very pleased to have retained our statuses as a WooCommerce WooExpert and a Mailchimp Expert in 2019 and have benefited hugely from being listed on these extremely powerful platforms.

Please note some upcoming office closure dates so that our team can take a much-needed break. We will be closing our office from Monday 23 December 2019 to Tuesday 7 January 2020. We will resume business on Wednesday 8 January 2020.

Over the period that the office is closed our support desk will be monitored so if you have any urgent requirements or queries please email [email protected] and a support staff member will respond as soon as they can.

A huge thank you to all our clients for their support this year. We wish you all a very happy and safe holiday season.
