1. Branding
We are excited to showcase our refreshed branding at WordCamp Cape Town 2024. The team will be wearing newly printed hoodies and t-shirts featuring our updated logo and icon. It’s been a while since we last made these, and it’s great to see our new design come to life on these items.
Our sponsor table will be adorned with a black velvet table cloth featuring our logo, providing a sleek and professional look. Additionally, every attendee will receive a packet that includes a competition flyer, a business card, a unique Wapuu sticker, a logo sticker, and an icon sticker of our lightning bolt.
We have also printed new brochures specifically for the conference. These brochures showcase our services, the LSX Design theme, the LSX Tour Operator plugin, and include a call to action to meet with us for a free consultation. 2. Sticker Competition

Winners will be announced at our stand on the last day of WordCamp Cape Town at 4 PM. Don’t miss out on the chance to showcase your talent and win exciting prizes!
3. LightSpeed Team Representing at WordCamp Cape Town
Ash has been preparing print & marketing material for the WCCT event from Berlin, the LightSpeed team on the ground will ensure we make a significant impact. LightSpeed will be represented by some of our incredible team members:
- Barbara, partner & CFO, will be handing out sticker competition packages at registration and engaging with attendees throughout the event.
- Warwick, our lead developer, will be conducting technical demos on our latest offerings, showcasing the power and flexibility of our solutions.
- Zared, our web designer, will present demos of our Figma design systems and prototypes, illustrating the advanced design capabilities we bring to the table.
The team will be available at the sponsor table for free consultations, as well as presenting demos of our software.
4. Demo Sessions
Warwick will be doing technical demos and Zared will be doing Figma design systems demos of our products.
Warwick’s Demos:
- LSX Design Block Theme Demo: Warwick will introduce the LSX Design block-based theme, highlighting its flexibility, modern design, and efficient workflow. He will demonstrate how this theme leverages the latest WordPress features and integrates seamlessly with Figma, showcasing real-world examples of websites built with the theme. Attendees will learn how to navigate and customise the theme using WordPress blocks.
- LSX Tour Operator Block Plugin Demo: In this session, Warwick will explore the transition from classic PHP-based plugins to the modern block-based LSX Tour Operator plugin. He will explain the benefits of the Block Bindings API and demonstrate various template types like destinations, tours, and accommodations. The live demonstration will highlight how custom fields populate content dynamically, emphasising the plugin’s flexibility and future-proofing capabilities.
Zared’s Demos:
- LSX Design System for Figma Demo: Zared will present the LSX Design System, focusing on its use within Figma to ensure consistency, efficiency, and enhanced collaboration. He will showcase the comprehensive library of components and design tokens, demonstrating how to build and customise interactive prototypes. Real-world projects will illustrate the practical application of this design system in creating professional, cohesive designs.
- LSX Tour Operator Design System Demo: This demo will cover the LSX Tour Operator Design System, designed to meet the specific needs of tour operators. Zared will highlight its benefits, such as ensuring a cohesive visual identity and speeding up the design process with reusable components. He will demonstrate the design process in Figma, showing how to create and customise components for tour operator websites, with real-world examples of client sites.
4. New Brochure
We have designed a new 4-page brochure to hand out to all attendees, showcasing our services and expertise. This brochure highlights our strengths in custom WordPress development, responsive design, SEO services, and WooCommerce integration. This brochure will be available at our sponsor stand, here is a digital version.
