LightSpeed has invested years into this plugin, one of our Tour Operators back in 2015 needed to integrate Zoho CRM into there website deeply.
The first version of our Zoho CRM plugin used the Zoho CRM API Version 1.0. Zoho rolled out a 2.0 version of their API and set a date for retiring the old 1.0 API. LightSpeed decided to polish it up the plugin and submit it to WordPress.org as an open-source plugin.
The requirement was to capture new product enquiries via a form, then send those detail to Zoho CRM via their API and save a new lead in the CRM database. We proposed to our client that we build a Zoho CRM API integration add-on plugin for the Caldera Forms plugin.

LightSpeed has released version 2.0.0 of the Zoho CRM Add-on for Caldera Forms. The plugin has been updated to support version 2.0 of the Zoho API. The most notable changes in the API is the use of JSON for requests, and the use of the OAuth 2.0 protocol for authentication. For a more detailed list visit the Zoho website.
The open-source Caldera Forms Zoho CRM plugin was officially accepted for download on WordPress.org in January 2019. Small business WordPress website owners using Caldera Forms and Zoho are able to download the LSX Zoho CRM Addon for Caldera Forms WordPress plugin for free from WordPress.org.
Since the release of the plugin, LightSpeed has consistently maintained the plugin to ensure it stays up to date with changes in the WordPress core, the Caldera Forms plugin and the Zoho CRM API. Keeping a plugin like this updated is essential for the security and stability of the plugin.

Important notice for existing users
If you previously bought the add-on, the following information is very important. There are a few steps you need to follow when moving to the new version.
- Deactivate and delete the previous plugin completely.
- Then install the new version. Either:
- Search for the plugin, “LSX Zoho CRM Addon for Caldera Forms”, via the plugins screen inside your WordPress dashboard
- Or download the plugin from WordPress.org and upload it via your plugins screen
Unfortunately you will have to reconfigure all form processors that create leads, contacts or tasks. The plugin changed in a way that could not avoid this.
